Two people shot outside of South Bend convenience store

Two people were injured in a shooting at a convenience store in South Bend. Officers were called to the Olive Expo Convenience Store at Elwood and Olive Street just before 4 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The gunfire was detected by ShotSpotter technology, WSBT reported.

On arrivial, officers with the South Bend Police Department found several shell casings in the parking lot, according to WNDU.

The victims’ injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

As of 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, there was no word of any suspects or arrests.
