Teenager leads police on a high speed chase from LaPorte County to South Bend

It’s a story he’ll be able to tell his kids later, but for now, a teenager is in juvenile custody for leading police on quite the joyride.

The high-speed chase started at about 2 p.m. Saturday in LaPorte County at about mile marker 50 on the Toll Road, according to ABC 57.

A 16-year-old boy driving a stolen Oldsmobile was speeding as high as 110 mph at one point, according to police. At one point, the boy rammed an officer’s cruiser. The officer wasn’t hurt.

The chase finally ended at Lathrop and Huey streets in South Bend. The teen is in custody at the LaPorte Co. Juvenile Detention Center.

Exactly Andrew.

Let’s see, stolen car and trying to outrun police on the Toll Road…with limited and controlled access points. Obviously a future brain surgeon here…
