A Hartford, Michigan woman accused in connection with her baby’s murder has pleaded no contest in Berrien County Court.

Autumn Atchley, 31, faces up to five years in prison when she’s sentenced in December, according to the Harold-Palladium.

8-month old Carter Donovan died back in February when prosecutors say Atchley left him with Brandon Beshires while she was at an appointment.

Prosecutors say the baby died of blunt force trauma. Beshires will go to trial in February on his charge of murder.

Atchley lied to police at first about who had been with the baby at the time of his death.
