INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles will extend license branch hours on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 to issue identifications that can be used at polling places on Election Day.

Commissioner Kent Abernathy says branches will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 7 and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 8.

New, amended or replacement identification cards will be processed. Renewed, amended or replacement driver’s licenses and learner permits also will be processed.

New driver’s licenses and learner permits will be processed provided the customer has previously completed all required testing.

The BMV provides state-issued identification cards for voting purposes to any unlicensed Indiana resident that is a U.S. citizen with proper documentation.
