A Niles woman will be going to prison for a long time for trying to sell over 500 grams of methamphetamine.

Holly L. Nivens, 31, was sentenced in federal court this week. She’ll also get five years of supervised release, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

In April, Nivens received “several pound” of meth after a friend she met in prison tipped her off to the meth’s location. She was helped by others in retrieving the meth, then she sold it.

Six bricks of meth were found in her vehicle when she was arrested.
