Syracuse man accused of causing hit-and-run crash in LaGrange County

A 31-year-old Syracuse man has been arrested after police say he left the scene of a crash last Friday.

Mark R. Gledhill is charged with failure to stop after an accident involving injury, a level 6 felony, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a level 6 felony, and criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department and WOWO.

On Nov. 11, a crash happened on County Road 200 South near County Road 600 West. Two juveniles were riding a horse and were hit by a vehicle.

Deputies tracked down the vehicle involved, and arrested Gledhill.

Both the kids and horse sustained minor injuries. All are doing well, according to the sheriff’s office.
