Deputies in Berrien County are investigating why a man was lit on fire.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department responded at around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday to the 2300 block of E. Main St. in Birchcrest Estates, according to a press release.
The man was discovered lying on the ground with smoke billowing from him. He was immediately rushed to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. His condition is unknown.
The case is still under investigation.
