An area jewelery store gave Small Business Saturday a unique twist over the weekend.

Fernbaugh’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry in downtown Plymouth attempted to attract customers by offering a rifle or shotgun with qualifying purchases of jewelry or engagement rings. The offer was valid on both Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, according to WSBT.

The guns weren’t actually in the store, but those who took advantage of the offer were offered a gift certificate for a firearm from another local business in Grovertown called The Gun Town.

Customers who weren’t interested in the weapon could select a television instead, but all of them reportedly opted for the firearm.
