A local woman is in St. Joseph County Jail Tuesday after crashing her SUV into the front of Merriman’s Playhouse in South Bend.

South Bend Police arrived at the jazz venue and improv theater just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to WSBT.

Police say Samantha Clark, 25, was speeding when she skidded around the curve, hit a light pole, a tree, and then the playhouse. She had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 and was charged with DUI, according to WSBT.

Police are not investigating. Clark wasn’t seriously hurt, according to ABC 57.
