Center For The Homeless asking for much-needed donations

With cold weather settling in, the Center For The Homeless in South Bend is becoming more crowded and they’re asking for your help donating some needed items.

During weather amnesty season, the center opens its doors to 15 additional people each evening.

With that, they’re looking for donations of blankets, pillows and pillowcases, hats, gloves and handwarmers, as well as deodorant, and travel-size shampoo, soap and toothpaste.

They say the items are in low supply or out altogether.

If you can help, drop off your donation at the center’s front desk at any time. The center is located 813 S. Michigan Street in South Bend.

Donations are tax deductible.
