Search underway for armed suspects in early morning home invasion in Berrien County

Police in Berrien County are searching for the suspects behind an armed home invasion.

It happened early Saturday morning, Dec. 10 on Alma Drive in Sodus Township.

A 58-year-old man opened his door after hearing a knock, according to a news release from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

When the victim opened the door, a male suspect forced his way into the home at gun point while another male came running from an unknown location, according to the news release.

The two armed male suspects forced the victim to give them money and threatened to kill him if he failed to do so. The victim gave the suspects some money. The suspects took off in a silver or light colored minivan, the news release stated.
