Kerosene tank explodes at home in River Park neighborhood of South Bend

A woman received burns to her face when a kerosene tank exploded at a home in South Bend.

Emergency crews were called to South 24th Street in the River Park neighborhood on Monday night, according to ABC 57.

Investigators say the blast caused a portion of the front porch to be destroyed, but there was no fire. The woman was not taken to the hospital.

The cause of the blast is still under investigation.
