Man arrested, in connection to Speedway robbery, string of burglaries in South Bend

South Bend Police believe they have solved a string of burglaries and robberies with the arrest of a 25-year-old man.

Dustin Pate was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 13, in connection with the robbery of a Speedway gas station, and burglaries in the northeast area of South Bend.

Pate was taken into custody and placed in the St. Joseph County Jail awaiting formal charges by the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

As this investigation continues, police are asking anyone with information about the Speedway robbery to contact Michiana Crime Stoppers at 288-STOP or the South Bend Police Department at 574-235-9201.
