New year, new ownership.

Bristol-based Renegade RV was acquired by REV Group of Milwaukee, Wis., according to the Elkhart Truth.

Renegade RV employs about 175 people at a 200,000 square-foot facility in Bristol. No jobs are threatened and no jobs will leave Bristol.

Renegade now becomes a part of REV Recreation Group, which manufactures class A and class C motorhomes under the American Coach, Monaco, Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood RV brand names.

“We are extremely excited to have Renegade RV join our team at REV Group, and I look forward to welcoming their talented group of employees,” stated Tim Sullivan, CEO of REV Group, Inc. “Renegade RV brings a tremendous reputation and a world-class product portfolio that is highly complementary to our line of great American-made motorhomes.”

In total, REV owns 26 brands and employs over 6,000 people in 16 different facilities in the U.S. The company produces over 20,000 specialty vehicles yearly, including ambulances, fire trucks, shuttle buses, transit buses, yard trucks, street sweepers, luxury motorhomes and wheelchair accessible vehicles.

The group also owns Goshen Coach, whose plant in Elkhart closed this past fall. New RV manufacturing was brought to the building, saving most of the 159 jobs there.

It’s unknown how much the purchase price was.
