Body found inside burning White Pigeon home

The Michigan State Police are looking into the cause of a fatal fire that happened late Monday night.

Troopers were called out to assist the White Pigeon Fire Department around 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 19000 block of Fawn River Road, according to WSBT.

Firefighters were told at the scene that someone might be in the home, and a body was discovered after the flames were extinguished.

It’s unknown yet what caused the fire or the victim’s death, and the Michigan State Police Fire Investigation Unit is still investigating.
