A Thursday morning traffic snarl impacted Main Street in Mishawaka, and will have a one-day impact on a local business.

A vehicle crashed into a transformer at Main and Edison Lakes Parkway at around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, shutting Main Street down at Edison and at Catalpa.

Power in the area was impacted as well, and another transformer behind the Evil Czech Restaurant caught on fire. Light smoke entered the building but there was no damage to the interior.

Still, Evil Czech made the decision to close for the day to clean up, announcing on social media that they will reopen at 11 a.m. Friday.
