You can add Bethel College to the list of area colleges and universities offering help to displaced students from Saint Joseph’s College.

“We at Bethel are saddened to hear of the closing of this institution,” says Vice President Toni Steffensen Pauls, Ph.D. “We want to assist students and parents, who are now facing the challenge of finding another school, with as seamless of process as possible. Since Bethel is a small, faith-based institution which offers very personal attention, we think that many of the Saint Joseph’s students would find it a good fit for them in completing their education.”

The school in Rennselaer announced recently that it will suspend operations at the end of the current semester. Around 900 students are affected and have begun the process of searching for an institution where they can complete their academic career.

For students interested in transferring to Bethel, the college will honor the current financial aid package each student received from Saint Joseph’s, including any athletic scholarships.

Staff from the Bethel College Admission Office will be available to meet with students at Saint Joseph’s on Feb. 16., March 1 and March 14, and the college will host special visit days at Bethel for Saint Joseph’s students on March 10 and March 27.  For more information, click here or contact Admission Counselor Melissa Love at 800-422-4101.
