A man has been arrested after police say he stabbed his mother with a grill fork.

It was back on Feb. 3 when Syracuse Police were called to a home in the 800 block of N. Mill Street.

The victim told police her son, Jeromie Bright, accused her of telling his girlfriend things about him, then grabbed her, punched her and dragged her to the front porch, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

He tried to strangle her, then took a large grill fork and stabbed her in the arm while threatening to kill her, ABC 57 reported.

The victim was able to get away and flagged down a passing vehicle.

Bright was arrested this past weekend on charges of battery while armed with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery moderate bodily injury and strangulation, ABC 57 reported.
