A South Bend man who pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing firearms from a licensed firearm dealer has been given his sentence.

Brian Keith Jennings Jr., 19, was given a prison sentence of 70 months, followed by two years’ supervision and a more than $50,000 fine for which his co-defendents are also partially liable, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Kodiak Firing Range in South Bend was burglarized in May of 2016, and one firearm was stolen, according to court documents.

The same facility was hit again in the following month, and multiple firearms were taken in the second incident, the court documents stated.

A vehicle was driven into the front of the facility in both incidents to gain access to the business.

The other two defendents, D’dre’a Bostic, 19, and Matthew Bishop, 19, were sentenced earlier this month.
