Two men dead after early morning South Bend shooting

5:30 p.m. UPDATE:  The second man involved in the shooting incident that took place on Thursday, March 16, at a home in the 800 block of S. Bendix Dr. in South Bend has died from his injuries. The man is identified as Casey McClean, 25.

ORIGINAL STORY: One person is dead and another is fighting for his life after officers say they were engaging in “reckless behavior with a firearm.”

The shooting took place at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 800 block of South Bendix Drive.

21-year-old Sheldon Andrew Camarillo was pronounced dead at a local hospital. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday in Kalamazoo.

A 25-year-old man is listed in “extremely critical condition” at a local hospital.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit spent much of the morning Thursday investigating the area around the house. Investigators are not looking for any suspects, saying they believe Camarillo and the other victim were engaging in “reckless behavior with a firearm.”

The case is still under investigation.

What the hell does “reckless” behavior with a firearm” mean? 2 people are dead. How could this be anything other than murder or murder\suicide?
