MONON, Ind. (AP) — Dash-camera video released this week shows the moments before police fatally shot an Indiana man who abducted his daughter and led several law enforcement agencies on a chase in northwestern Indiana.

The Journal and Courier reports the video from the March 28 incident shows 36-year-old Peter Doffin exiting his vehicle with a knife in his hand and approaching officers.

Doffin ignores orders to show his hands and get on the ground. Officers fire shots as Doffin disappears to the left side of the camera’s frame.

Pulaski County Coroner John Behny says Doffin died from blood loss due to multiple gunshot wounds.

No criminal charges were filed against the officers.

The low-speed pursuit lasted for more than an hour through five counties. Doffin’s daughter wasn’t injured.

Here’s the video, released by the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Department.

At this point people, you will not win, just comply and work it out later.
