A Milford man is charged with bestiality after allegedly being caught having sex with a pony.

72-year-old Phillip Butler was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Monday May 22.  Court documents say a caretaker for the female pony discovered Butler in the act. The witness confronted Butler on April 19 and then filed a complaint against Butler on April 20.

The witness claims the incident in April was not the first time this has happened. The affidavit of probable cause indicates the witness’s wife and daughter have also caught Butler in the act.

Butler was told not to come back to the property in the fall of 2016, but the witness says he used a motion-sensing camera to capture photographs of Butler leading a pony into the barn, tying it up, and standing behind it.

According to court documents, Butler admitted to a Sheriff’s deputy that he had sex with a pony.
