Suspect still sought in LaPorte County hit and run

(Tom Franklin/95.3 MNC)

Three weeks after a 56-year-old New Carlisle man was hit by a green pickup, the search continues for the driver of that truck.

Gary Thompson was riding a bicycle on State Road 2, heading east towards New Carlisle, on the morning of June 3 when he was hit by the pickup. He had to be airlifted to the hospital with a shattered pelvis, broken ribs, fractured vertebrae, a concussion, and other serious injuries. His family told WNDU he’s had at least five surgeries since the crash.

Anyone with information on the green pickup driver is asked to call Michiana Crime Stoppers at at 574-288-STOP or 800-342-STOP.
