Deadly start to the weekend on Michiana roads

A 18-year-old Shipshewana man on a motorcycle died when he collided with a vehicle. it happened on County Road 600 South around 12 p.m. on Friday, June 30, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say the driver of the vehicle attempted to turn on to County Road 500 West when he drove into the path of the motorcycle.

Wayne Ray Weaver, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 


One person died in a motorcycle crash in South Bend. It happened on Nimtz Parkway near Crescent Court around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, according to WNDU.

The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The person operating the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to WSBT.

South Bend Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.
