CHESTERTON, Ind. (AP) — Authorities in northwest Indiana say a 12-year-old Chicago boy has drowned in a Chesterton church swimming pool.

Porter County Coroner Chuck Harris tells The (Northwest Indiana) Times that Davion Henderson was part of an Illinois church group that was visiting Fairhaven Baptist Church when he drowned Tuesday. Harris says the boy was swimming with others when he was found unresponsive. He was taken to Porter Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The coroner says autopsy results are pending.
