Sturgis man killed in crash on toll road in LaGrange County

A Sturgis man was killed in a crash on the Indiana Toll Road.

The collision happened around 7:10 a.m. on Monday, July 10, at the 109.6 mile marker, which is approximately two-and-a-half-miles east of the Middlebury Exit.

Brian Fox, 41, was traveling westbound when he crossed the center median, according to Indiana State Police.

After crossing the median Fox’s car was struck by a van traveling eastbound, state police reported.

Fox was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Pennsylvania man driving the van was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic was shut down in the eastbound lanes for approximately 20 minutes for the crash investigation, which is ongoing.
