South Bend parks will undergo some improvements soon.

The city’s Venues Parks and Arts Board approved a resolution to update and add new details to the city’s parks. At Monday night’s meeting the board approved changes that will impact an 8-mile stretch of the riverfront, including the Riverfront Parks and Trails Project.

The South Bend Tribune says community input was used to determine which projects would be worked on all around the city, including Howard, Seitz, Pinhook, and Leeper parks.

The work will go on over the next five years. Some of the funding is already in place.
