The shelves are getting sparse at the Middlebury Food Pantry.

The pantry took to Facebook this week and announced that their volunteers wouldn’t be handling out vouchers for this coming weekend, or able to place an order to restock the shelves, due to a spending freeze. An anonymous donor stepped up to help get vouchers covered for Saturday, but the shelves are still looking thin. T

he food pantry is well-stocked around the holidays, but in the summer people tend to forget how important the monetary and food donations are to support the food bank, which in turn supports so many people in the community.
