Claypool man, 70, killed in collision with semi

A Claypool man died in a crash in Kosciusko County.

It happened just after 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug.18, near 700 South and 600 West near Claypool when the driver of an SUV failed to yield at an intersection and struck a semi, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the Chevy, William Johnson, 70, died at the scene.

The 80-year-old Burket man driving the semi was not injured.
