A Bristol man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Elkhart County.

The collision happened just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20.

The victim, Austin Reed Owens, 23, was traveling eastbound on East Jackson Blvd and drove off the road as he approached the curve just east of Middleton Run Road, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

Owens then struck the the guard rail.

Owens was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
