South Bend officers have arrested an armed suspect after a Thursday morning pursuit.

Police say it started when a man armed with a weapon tried to get into Stanley Clark School. He was unsuccessful, and when police arrived, he tried to flee.

WSBT reports he tried to hit two cop cars, then drove up Michigan Street. The suspect hit another vehicle during the pursuit, which ended at Sample and Main Streets downtown.

The suspect was reportedly uncooperative and, despite being tased, it took several officers to restrain him.

The suspect was taken to a hospital to be checked out. None of the officers were seriously hurt.

Sounds like he was drugged up pretty good…glad he didn’t get into the school; it’s a psycho free fire zone.
