Grand Design RV breaks ground on $10 million expansion in Middlebury

(Sam Householder/Elkhart Truth)

Yet another Elkhart County RV maker has taken a step forward in its expansion plans.

Grand Design RV has broken ground on a $10 million expansion of its two Middlebury facilities. Senator Todd Young and Congresswoman Jackie Walorski were in attendance as well as Indiana Secretary of Commerce Jim Schellinger, who told the crowd that he’s getting used to travelling to Middlebury for Grand Design RV announcements.

The Elkhart Truth is reporting the new facilities will add 400 to 450 people when they’re up and running, which could be a challenge with the county’s low unemployment rate.
