Charges filed in stabbing incident near Paw Paw

Charges have been filed in a stabbing incident this past week in southwestern Michigan.

Boyd Wayne Hicks, 47, is charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder and two charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Hicks is accused of Hicks is accused of stabbing the driver and front seat passenger of a parked vehicle north of Paw Paw on Sunday, Aug. 20.

Both victims have been treated and released after receiving stomach and neck injuries respectively.

Hicks, himself, was stabbed as he tried to flee the vehicle, and he also had to be treated at a local hospital. He’s now being held on $1 million bond, according to MLive.com.
