Major delays on the bypass Friday afternoon were caused by one crash that led to two more crashes.

Penn Township Fire crews responded to all three crashes near Elm Road and S.R. 331 within the span of 90 minutes.

It started with a crash in the westbound lanes. The third crash was considered the most serious, with one person suffering a broken pelvis.

In total, three people were hurt, six vehicles were involved, and traffic ground to a half for about two hours.
