One person killed, another injured in early Saturday morning shooting in South Bend

One person was killed and another person was injured in a shooting in South Bend.

It happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, in the area of Indiana and Lebanon Streets in South Bend, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

One of the victims was driven to Memorial Hospital of South Bend for treatment.

Officers with the South Bend Police Department found the other victim involved in a collision at Sample and Fellows Street. He was taken to the hospital where he later died, according to ABC 57.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.

As of 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, there was no word of any suspects or arrests.
