A 34-year-old bicyclist is in the hospital after being critically injured in a crash near Warsaw.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies say a west bound Mercury hit the bicycle, which was traveling west on Old Road 30 near Riverwood Ranch Road Friday night.

The man hit on his bicycle was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne and remains in critical condition. Authorities say the driver of the Mercury was not injured.

Though the crash is still under investigation, time of day and visibility of the bicyclist are believed to be factors.
