Almost 100 employees will be affected when Parker Hannifin closes its Mishawaka facility next year.

The manufacturer will close the Mishawaka facility, located along near State Road 331 and the river, on June 30, 2018. The company will then move operations from Mishawaka to Morton, Illinois, where it already has a facility.

The consolidation move will affect about 94 employees. Company officials told ABC 57 that every employee will be offered a severance package, continued benefits, outplacement support, or relocation offers for certain positions.

A Parker Hannifin spokesman says the move was necessary to maintain industry competitiveness.

The Mishawaka facility produced sensors for equipment in the construction and agricultural industries.
