Suspects sought in South Bend home invasion robbery

Police in South Bend are looking for as many as three people who robbed a home in broad daylight.

It happened on Thursday, Oct. 12, the 700 block of South 36th Street.

The residents say someone knocked on the door. When they answered, two males forced their way into the home and held them at gunpoint. A third male then entered the home.

The victims told police the three males robbed them and then ran out to the alley behind the home in into a vehicle. They also reported shots being fired as the suspects took off. Nobody was injured.

Crime Scene Technicians recovered casings in the alley behind the home.
