Three young men suspected of planning to commit robbery arrested in Warsaw

Three young men who police in Warsaw say they caught with an assault rifle, tire iron, crowbar, pot and paraphernalia have been arrested.

It was just before 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, when officers were called to the 400 block of South Columbia Street after a call regarding the armed men, according to a news release from the Warsaw Police Department.

Police pulled the trio over in the 1900 block of East Center Street, found the weapons and drugs, and, based off their statements, determined the men intended to commit a robbery.

Nathan Dollar, 18, of Columbia City, David Mefford, 19, and Jeffery Walker, 22, of South Whitley remain jailed on a prosecutor investigative hold, the news release stated.
