Target store in Benton Harbor closing in February

Benton Harbor’s Target store has been targeted for closure.

The store has been an anchor for the renewed Fairplain Plaza for two decades, and will shut it’s doors at the close of business on Feb. 3 next year. Benton Harbor’s Target is one of a dozen stores the company is closing nationwide in 2018.

The Mishawaka and Kalamazoo stores will become the closest locations for Target shoppers once this happens, and eligible employees of the Benton Harbor outlet will reportedly be given the option of transferring to another Target store.
