Elkhart County officers have received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins while people attended Sunday morning church services.

The thefts have reportedly taken place in three separate places: Bethany Church of the Brethren in New Paris, Nappanee Missionary Church, and Sugar Grove Church in Goshen.

The thefts took place at the first two locations on Sunday, Nov. 5, then at Sugar Grove Church this past Sunday. Purses, wallets, cell phones, and cell phone accessories are among the items that have been reported stolen.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department reminds you to remove valuables from your vehicle if you’re leaving it unattended, or at the very least lock the vehicle and secure the items in the trunk.
