Washington High School put on lockdown due to gun found at school

Students at a South Bend school were placed on lockdown Wednesday.

It happened at Washington High School after a student was found with a gun. School officials got word that a student may have brought a weapon into the building.

That student was searched, the gun was found, and an arrest was made. The student is facing a mandatory one-year expulsion.

My guess would be this student would not have made it through high school regardless. A 1 year expulsion is probably not even a worry for this kid. He\She will more than likely die soon anyway if this is how they live their life. I wonder if race or gangs are an issue? We will never know will we?
