A crack cocaine trafficking ring was busted in Benton Harbor this week.

The Southwest Enforcement Team conducted a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of East Main Street in Benton Harbor Tuesday.

When detectives entered, 42-year-old Darrick Palmer allegedly tried to flush crack cocaine down an apartment toilet. Detectives say they actually were able to recover a lot of the crack cocaine in the apartment’s plumbing, along with marijuana.

Palmer’s facing two drug-dealing charges, along with being accused of tampering or destroying evidence and maintaining a drug house.
