Fire Departments in Michiana were busy Friday morning.

Multiple crews responded to a house fire on Fox St. in South Bend. The fire chief reported that a family of ten made it outside safely before the firefighters arrived to battle the flames. South Bend Fire says that the fire was actually their third call in five hours Friday morning, and this one appeared to be flood-related and electrical in nature.

Fire crews had also responded to a cooking fire at the old Park Jefferson complex and an electrical fire at an old ambulance building on Sample Street, in the early morning.

Also, units in Dowagiac responded to a barn fire on Fosdick St. that burned and billowed smoke for at least 2 hours. The owner told ABC 57 that he lost three tractors in the fire, and no animals were in the barn.
