The man who was accused of stomping his roommate to death in 2016 has been found guilty but mentally ill.

39 year-old Joshua Walker told police at the time of his arrest that he had been in an argument with his roommate, Ronald Bacsa, and beat him to death.

Friday, a judge in St. Joseph County found him guilty but mentally ill in the death of Bacsa, who suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries, broken ribs, and punctured lungs.

Walker will be sentenced for the murder conviction on March 23.
