A Kimmel man was killed in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning.

It happened shortly before 4 a.m. on Old CR 17 north of CR 45. Officers were called after a report of a dead man on the road.

Officers discovered 21-year-old Austin Delgado dead on the road. The vehicle that hit him was nowhere to be found.

Police are now asking for information on the driver who hit and killed Delgado. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department 574-533-4151 or by submitting a tip on their website.
