One hurt in northwest South Bend shooting

South Bend police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday evening in the northwest side.

The shooting happened on West Linden Avenue in a neighborhood just west of the City Cemetery at around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Police discovered a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim was alert and conscious and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. His status is unknown.
