Hi-tech automaker SF Motors have announced plans to build vehicles at their facilities in China and the U-S, including in Mishawaka.

The SF Motors plant in the US is the part of the AM General plant that they bought some time ago.

SF Motors looks to build two concept electric vehicles, the SF-5 and the SF-7. The new vehicles are said to be on the cutting edge of design for the electric vehicle market, including self-driving and smart technology.

The size of the impact the plan will have on the Mishawaka workforce has yet to be fully determined.
