There was an officer-involved shooting in South Bend Thursday afternoon.
It happened shortly after 1 p.m. at a building on West Western Ave. east of Olive. ABC 57 reports that there was an unwanted person in the building.
A suspect is in the hospital. It’s not known what condition the suspect is in.
Per protocol, Metro Homicide has taken over the investigation.
I’m told officer involved shooting stemmed from an unwanted person call. Prosecutor says there were two calls from this building today. Suspect is in the hospital. Unclear if officer was hurt. Witnesses being interviewed now. pic.twitter.com/cBqc1P3g4f
