A 32-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Cass County on Friday, April 13.

It was around 10:30 p.m. that sheriff’s deputies were called to Kessington Road in Mason Township where they found the wreckage.

Gary May, of New Haven, was traveling northbound on Kessington when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to run off the road and overturn several times in a field, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

May was ejected. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Safety belts were not used, intoxicants and speed may have been a factor, according to the sheriff’s department.
